Cosmic Dartz hole protector set!

Big Bang Bar is such a great game! With IPB's recreation of Capcom's original game many more folks now have an opportunity to experience this raucous pinball machine! It's rarity means owners need to do all they can to protect their games from damage. Thanks to the collaboration of me and Martin Reynolds we now have the protection you need!  Here we show the Cosmic Dartz hole protector set and it's installation. Follow along!

The protector! Now lets put 'er in. It's a little involved so count on spending an hour with it. Having a friend helps but not totally necessary.

First we need to remove the wireform ramp by removing a screw on the left side and a nut over on the right side.
In order to get the nut off you need to remove the top plastics layer

Now the lower layers of plastics come off. All these need to be removed to get to the ball guide.

Next you see the small ball guide with Martin's dead drop foam attached. Remove the screw from the top and the nut from the bottom and lift the guide out.
Now is a good time to lower the scoop and remove the bumper post too. Make special note of the two different screw sizes used on the scoop! The shorter screws go where the shallow ball drop area is. If you put the long screws in there you will ruin the playfield!

Now insert the PETG plate into the ball drop area, fix with a dab of clear silicone if you feel it's needed.
Next, carefully fit the protector into the hole by inserting the fold-under tab first. Gently twist into the hole and line up the post hole.
Install the ball guide but add the two #8 flat washers underneath. This will spread the load across the protector.
Insert the bumper post with it's washer and now you can tighten the nuts and reinstall the scoop.
Install plastics and ramp and you're done! Looks like it was there from the factory :)
