NO FEAR: DANGEROUS SPORTS - Ramp & Target Protection & Repair

No Fear is a very fast Steve Ritchie designed game with flowing ramp shots. Because of the sheer speed of this game the ramps take quite a beating!
Many helpers including Dan Giuchi (thanks for the ramps!) Kim Mitchell and Gregg Bizier made all this possible. Thanks guys!

Here is some nasty damage typical to the Jump ramp

And here is the patcher that I've made to restore support. The wrap-around section also prevents damage on new ramps.

Let's see it installed on a couple ramps. Note that it is supposed to go UNDER the existing ramp protector.
Note also that that the upper hole is intended for a wire tie to attach switch wires as original but can be used as an alternative mounting point with a screw and nut.
Nice factory appearance and so much stronger now!

The ramp entrances are also lacking protection so I've made a 3 piece set to solve that problem.
    Let's see them installed

And speaking of the ramp entrances, howzabout a pair of shiny stainless ramp flaps!
Steve Duchac shows off my new ramp flaps, ramp protectors and color post sleeves

The 2 bank standup target is another weak part of this very fast game. Typically the bracket that holds the assembly together breaks at the base behind the left target. This is due to a twisting force as the target is hammered by the ball. The screw hole in the bracket base is the pivot point, or fulcrum. I've developed a brace that clamps over the existing bracket. This brace is VERY thick and rigid which gives much needed support behind the left target stanchion.
Here is a broken target assembly that's been welded. I'll file these welds down so my brace sits flat. You can see that the screw hole is a natural fulcrum and there is little support behind that left target stanchion.

Enter my new target brace made of .060 laser cut hard stainless. It will easily withstand the pounding that the factory bracket could not.

Various angles showing the brace installed. It is easily installed in place using a long magnetic 1/4" nut driver. The added thickness *may* require longer screws, not included.

And the shooter eject protector shown installed. Can work with or without a passive ball stop.

All protected! Now you can play with No Fear! :)

The 3 piece ramp entrance set is $40, the Jump ramp patcher is $20, shooter eject is $9 and the target brace is $8.50 or get the complete 5 piece kit for $75.
