Tales of the Arabian Nights playfield and ramp protectors

Cliffys™ COMPLETE Tales of the Arabian Nights protectors in stainless

Complete but with Carbon Fiber rings!

Lets take a look at the protectors installed...

BAZAAR SCOOP

Common wear at the bazaar scoop

Remove scoop assembly        Insert protector, reinstall scoop, DONE!

On some games the deflector scoop must be bent slightly upwards for clearance. Use a rag and pliers as James shows us here.
My newest version (2020) of the protector is bevel matched on front and side which should eliminate ball jamming now (EXCEPT with repro scoop mechanisms!)

ORB RING

Orb wear. Area around saucer cleaned of wax with alcohol
Peel tape backing part way and fold back a grab tab. Pic shows other half of tape already removed
Carefully center protector over saucer and pull out remaining backing. Press into place
DONE! What a beauty. Plays without interference too!
    And in carbon fiber- nice!

GENIE & TIGER MAGNETS

Typical wear at the Genie magnet.       Orb and Tiger protected!

        and in carbon fiber!

SHOOTER EJECTS

Scott Sikora installed the 2pc shooter ejects eliminating the nasty blackened divots typically found here

OUTHOLE (drain)
Drain protector shown installed. This game is notorious for chipping at the edge of the drain

MAGNET LIFT RAMP - Flaming Gong
Here's a piece that was left out on early versions of TOTAN but later added as a service bulletin part. OEM part seems to be NLA (no longer available) but, thanks to Stuart Wright, Cliffy was able to make a replacement.

Magnet lift ramp in shiny 24 gauge stainless
Better looking than OEM too! It attaches to the plastic ramp using and existing mount point and guides the ball up to the catch magnet (Flaming Gong)

Here's the ramp with no magnet lift ramp.

The magnet has a hard time grabbing the ball as it zings past.

The magnet lift ramp is attached to the existing post and you can see how it will assist the magnet in grabbing the ball.

RAMP END PATCH

Typically broken right ramp end. The ball stop gets hit hard and snaps the end of the ramp right off

This is a normal ball stop on the left side of a ToTAN      Cliffys™ repair patcher made in 22 gauge stainless

Original ball stop attached to Cliffys™ patcher using the salvaged rivets       Bottom side showing rivets peened over
Cliffys™ patch kit includes #5-40 button head screws and nuts for those who can't use rivets. They look like rivets too!

Lined up & ready to drill for screws. Use a #25 bit for the included #6-32 screws and locknuts

And finally here it is attached with two 6-32x3/8" screws and nuts. Looks nice and much stronger!
